Terms of Use
Relay is free accessibility software. By using the Relay desktop or mobile app you agree to these terms.
Assistive aid, not a safety device
Captions, sound alerts, scene descriptions, and other AI output can be wrong, late, or incomplete. Do not rely on Relay as your only source of safety-critical information. Blind Mode guidance does not replace a cane, guide dog, or orientation and mobility training, and Relay is not a medical device.
Acceptable use
- Use Relay only for lawful purposes and get consent where the law requires it before captioning other people.
- Do not try to abuse, overload, or reverse engineer the Relay API, or use it for anything other than the Relay apps.
Third-party services
AI features are powered by OpenAI and Deepgram. Your use of those features is also subject to their terms. See the Privacy Policy for what is sent and when.
No warranty
Relay is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the Relay team is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app. The source code is available under the ISC license on GitHub.
